New to Church
Welcome to Carpenter’s Church.

We would love to see you at one of our services! Here is what you can expect at a typical Sunday morning service:

​We have one Sunday morning service, starting at 11am. Our services are around 90 minutes long. We have free parking in our parking lot, or there are many options for street parking around the church.
​
You will be warmly welcomed at the front doors by one of our greeters. People usually start to arrive for service at 10:30. Some choose to come to church in their 'Sunday best' and others in more casual clothes, so feel free to dress in whatever way is comfortable for you. Before the service begins, we have free coffee, tea, and snacks available at our café, and people usually spend this time connecting with one another in the foyer or the sanctuary. We also have a parenting room available upstairs for babies up to 4-year olds that is open at this time and throughout the service.

Our service opens at 11am with a welcome and any announcements about upcoming events. Next we do a kid's worship song, where the kids (and adults!) have a chance to dance along to the video and praise God.
​
We then move into a time of worship with our full worship team and band. We sing 4-5 songs, ranging from hymns to contemporary worship music. After worship, one of our church staff prays over the service and the kids (K-Gr.5) are dismissed to their service downstairs. For more information on the kid's service, click here.

Then our lead pastor, Pastor John, or occasionally another pastor from our church staff, will preach a biblically-based sermon for about 30 minutes. For more information on our doctrinal beliefs, click here. We will also often have opportunities for prayer after the sermon.
​
After the service is over, the café reopens and we have a further time of connecting until everyone goes home.
​
Once a month, we also take communion as a church. We practice an open communion, so everyone who believes and accepts Jesus Christ as their Saviour is welcome to join us in taking communion.
